Christians are not under the law!
• Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the law through the body of Christ, that you might be joining to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bear fruit for God. Roman 7:4
• But now we have been released from the law, even died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter. Romans 7:6
• For he himself is your peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in his flesh the enemy, which is the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in himself he might make that two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, buy it having put to death the enmity. Ephesians 2:14
• First through the law I die to the law that I might live to God. Galatians 2:19
• Therefore the law has become our Tudor to lead us to Christ, that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. Gal 3:24-25.
Such statements regarding the law would have appeared blasphemous to any Jew. For good reason: the law had been given to Israel by God himself.
**** Paul describes the Christian standard of conduct as the Law of Christ. He makes it clear that the Law of Christ is not the Law of Moses.

Wednesday Night Bible Study at 6:00 P.M.
We are happy you are with us today. We welcome you as our guest and hope that you will be encouraged today by God's Word.
DECLARATION OF FAITH We do hereby adopt as the fullest expression of our faith, the First London Baptist Confession of 1646 along with an Appendix by Benjamin Cox. These documents are the most excellent epitome of things most surely believed among us. We accept the same, not as an authoritative rule or code of faith, […]
The purpose of this church is to glorify God by providing for the corporate worship of God in prayer, and praise, by providing for the nurture of God’s people through preaching, teaching and pastoral care, by evangelizing sinners, and by contending for the faith once delivered to the saints.
